"I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty."
The Apostle Paul
We firmly believe that God hears and answers our prayers, in accordance to His will and His perfect timing. Our Prayer Team consists of approximately 25 people, on our staff and in our congregation, that are dedicated to pray for our community, church, pastor and you. All requests are treated as confidential unless you inform us to share your request with the congregation.
We are excited to have dedicated men and women who visit those who are in the hospital or cannot make it to our worship experiences due to health or disability. If you are in need of a personal visit please contact our Minister to Older Adults, Sara Peters at 273-8541, she will be happy to assist you.
There are times in our life when we all need someone to talk to, to help us sort through complex issues that we are facing. We believe it is critical at these transitionary points in life's journey that we receive Godly counsel that comes from His Word of truth. At these times, talking to a pastor might be a helpful step to consider. Our pastors are available to listen, pray, and care for you. Please contact Matt Wipperman or Jeff Meyer at 271-2811.
Is your marriage tearing you apart? Many area couples have found help through Retrouvaille, (ret-tro-vi), an ecumenical Christian program in which husbands and wives are helped to re-discover each other and examine their life together. In Retrouvaille, couples discover they are not alone. There is hope. Call 608-249-2377 or check their website at www.madisonarearetrouvaille.org.
Lutheran Counseling & Family Services
Frequently the need for Godly counsel goes beyond a couple of sessions with a friend or a pastor and what is needed is an in-depth, long-term approach. If this is true for you, we recommend a licensed therapist with our partner Lutheran Counseling & Family Services.
Lutheran Counseling and Family Services (LCFS) offers Christian Counseling services to strengthen and improve relationships between clients and the people in their lives, as well as their relationship with God. The mission is to enable those served to grow in self-worth through the assurance of God's saving grace in Jesus Christ.
Our therapists are licensed social workers, counselors and clinical psychologists trained to provide Christian counseling for individuals, families and children. We deal with a range of problems that arise in relationships and/or substance abuse.
Each client meets with a therapist for one-hour sessions. The number of sessions depends upon the treatment plan set up between therapist and client and the progress made with each session. Some clients may come only a few times and others may come for more than a year.
Clients are also referred by physicians, pastors, families, school or referral networks associated with insurance companies. Many health insurance policies include outpatient mental health coverage. An anonymous call to your provider will help get answers to your questions. Those without insurance coverage for mental health care pay on a sliding scale based on income and the number of people in the family. Charitable donations from individuals, churches and organizations which support Christian Counseling help make up the difference. A minimum fee for each session is paid by the client. Special payment plans can be arranged to accommodate clients who have difficulty paying this fee.
Lutheran Counseling and Family Services is certified by the State of Wisconsin to provide outpatient psychotherapy.
If you are in need of Christian counseling or would just like more information please visit the LCFS website, or call toll free 1-800-291-4513.
