Jesus

The Bible contains an Upper Story and Lower Story.  The Upper Story tells the big picture, the grand narrative of God unfolding throughout history.  The Lower Story contains the sometimes delightful, other times appalling particulars of human experience.  But make no mistake about it – Jesus is the star and hero of the Story!

The Story, chapter 23: Jesus - Picks His Team

We hear very about Jesus’ years growing up.  The Jesus, the carpenter from Nazareth, lays down his tools and begins his ministry.  He picks some men to help him.  He uses a tough interview process, checks their references, and only picks the cream of the crop, right?  How he picks them and who ends up on his team may surprise you.  The fact that he picks us too is just as surprising! Text: John 1:35-51
