Spiritual Health

Building Block #5: Spiritual Health

This 4-week series is centered on New Spiritual Health.  Healthy Homes that Spring with Life pursue Spiritual Health. Because true life springs up only when connected to the source of life giving water, Jesus Christ.  This series begins the week after Easter and runs from the first Sunday in April through the last Sunday in June. The paraments begin white for Easter, are Red for Pentecost (May 20), then white again for Trinity Sunday (May 27).

Spiritual Health, part 4: Missional Heartbeat of God
Pastor Jeff Meyer

Focus:  A home springing with life in Jesus moves intentionally and passionately into the lives of our friends and neighbors, incarnating the missional heartbeat of God. As we listen to God, we discern which friend the Lord might be leading us to reach by proclaiming the Good News about Jesus. We will also rely on God to show us who we can support and teach as they follow Jesus.

Main Text: Luke 10:1-7

Spiritual Health, part 3: Visible Reflection of Jesus
Pastor Jeff Meyer

Focus:  A home springing with life in Jesus visibly reflects Jesus! We actively love Jesus by loving others, learning to obey the Lord as He nudges us moment by moment to live out our purpose. We experience this life with others who are on the team, rejoicing that this life in Jesus is not lived alone.

Main Text: John 13:12-17

Spiritual Health, part 2: Dependent on Christ
Pastor Jeff Meyer

Focus:  A home springing with life in Jesus releases control, and practices utter dependence on Jesus. We learn how to receive grace, and submit our wills and desires to God in complete surrender. Then we can exhibit God-directed focus that gives witness to the Lord's leadership in our lives. Recognizing that we can do nothing apart from Jesus, we turn to Him in prayer and enjoy a vibrant and interactive relationship with God.

Main Text: Luke 9:23-27

Spiritual Health, part 1: Sustained by The Word
Pastor Matt Wipperman

Focus:  A home springing with life in Jesus is watered by the Word of God. We enthusiastically turn to the Bible for a daily and personal word from God, and grow in the knowledge and love of God, which builds community, and inspires true worship.

Main Text: John 8:31-38
