Focus:  We live in a world of tension. We all live IN that tension. Today we explore those realities. We name them. And, as ones who have received the LIGHT, and believe in the LIGHT we rejoice that Into those spaces and places Jesus shines. As we walk in the LIGHT we declare that the darkness cannot overcome it! As followers of Jesus who is the LIGHT of the world it is our intention to spread light in that tension.

New Grace, part 4: #GRACEinyourhood
9/23/18
Pastor Jeff Meyer

Focus:  There are people in our neighborhoods who are outside the family of faith. They have not embraced GRACE. The idea is of God’s Riches at Christ’s Expense is either a foreign one or one that they are not yet prepared to receive. Paul in this letter to an ancient church gives us some practical and powerful encouragement. Following these directives will give you the best shot to distribute #GRACEinyourhood.

Main Text: Colossians 4:2-6

New Grace, part 3: #GRACEatwork
9/16/18
Pastor Matt Wipperman

Focus:  Work relationships can be some of the most rewarding and some of the most difficult of all. Teamwork can be filled with victories because of the shared nature of the work. Teamwork can also be difficult because it is laced with agendas, differing perspectives, opposing views, emotional sabotage, pressure to perform, and human weakness. Because of this work can be one of the most powerful places to practice grace.

Main Text: Romans 12:1-3, 9-18; Psalm 90:17

New Grace, part 2: #GRACEatchurch
9/9/18
Pastor Jeff Meyer

Focus:  The church is as place of grace. It is a place where peace, joy, and freedom flow because forgiveness is liberally received and therefore given. Today is a day for us to stop and take in this message and consider how this body is resembling this Scriptural truth. Consider, for example, how Peter is freed in this fireside chat with His Savior and Leader. How do you suppose that grace-filled interaction landed on him? What did those questions and statements of Jesus mean for Peter? How did they motivate him as he moved forward with his life?

Main Text: John 21: 15-19;  Matthew 18

New Grace, part 1: #GRACEathome
9/2/18
Pastor Mike Peters

Focus:  Home is where the heart is. Sometimes. And, sometimes home is where the heart is...broken. Some of the deepest hurts and losses can happen in our homes. New grace is one of the 12 building blocks of a home that is springing with life. No better place to begin this 5-week journey discovering new grace than at home. New grace is the result of Jesus’ life and work. Period. And, as recipients of that grace, we are free to share it.
